Talking too fast? Take back control.
See your speaking speed live as you talk, slow down at the right moment, and improve session after session. On your own or guided by your speech-language pathologist.
Measured in syllables per second, the reference clinical indicator.
Does this sound like you?
These situations come up a lot when you speak too fast.
Do people often ask you to repeat yourself?
People around you lose the thread. You can see it in their eyes.
Do your thoughts race ahead of your words?
Your mind runs at full speed, but your mouth can't keep up.
Does your speech rate run away under stress?
A meeting, a presentation, an important call: you lose control.
3 steps to take back control
No endless theory. You speak, you see, you improve.
Speak
Pick an exercise (guided reading, free speaking, dialogue) and speak into your mic.
See
Your speaking speed appears on screen in real time. You instantly see where to slow down.
Improve
Track your progress session after session. Share your results with your speech-language pathologist.
3 pillars to regain fluency
A complete method, tailored to cluttering, tachylalia, and stuttering.
Clear articulation
Targeted exercises to pronounce each syllable distinctly and improve intelligibility.
Rhythm & pauses
Learn to add natural pauses between your sentences. The gauge guides you in real time.
Transfer to real-life situations

Here is what your patients will use
3 of the 12 available modes. Your patients practice on their own between sessions.
The highlighter advances word by word and adapts to the patient's target rate (3.0 to 5.0 syll/sec). The patient reads aloud, following the pace.
The highlighter moves at the recommended pace, about 4 syllables per second.

Augmented playback
Every recorded session comes with a synchronized SPS curve below the audio waveform. The patient sees exactly where they sped up.
- Color-coded curve: blue = good pace, orange/red = too fast
- Perfect sync: the curve tracks the audio cursor
- Self-correction: the patient replays the trouble spots
- Longitudinal tracking: compare sessions over time
At 0:28: speed-up detected (6.8 SPS). The patient can replay this passage and self-correct.
Age-based calibration
Natural articulation rate varies with age. The app automatically adapts targets to each patient's profile.
- No more false positives: targets matched to age
- Van Zaalen clinical norms built in
- Alert when a target exceeds the physiological norm
Word assessment in one click
Generate a clinical assessment base from your patients' objective data. A solid starting point for your reports.
- Smart analysis: auto-generated clinical interpretations
- Built-in charts: SPS progress curve included in the report
- Documented adherence: sessions, practice time, current streak
Three guided assessments, right inside the app
Cluttering, stuttering, Parkinson's: the patient speaks, the analysis engine pre-fills the measures, you keep control of every value — and the Word report is ready at the end.
Cluttering assessment
Van Zaalen battery · adult & child
- Articulation rate and disfluencies counted automatically, adjustable after replay
- PCI, oral motor skills, reading, writing: tasks flow with on-screen instructions
- Quantified orientation profile at the end of the pathway
Stuttering assessment
Age-adapted pathway · ages 4-6 → adult
- %SS computed on spontaneous speech, reading and singing — variability becomes visible
- Sheehan's iceberg, impact and avoidance scales for the invisible part of the disorder
- Parent questionnaire completed remotely before the first appointment
Parkinson's assessment
Voice & speech · MPT, GRBAS, diadochokinesis
- Maximum phonation time and diadochokinesis (tempo, regularity) measured on audio
- GRBAS and voice-impact questionnaire built in, with norms displayed alongside
- Orientation towards vocal projection and intonation exercises
Clinical orientation aids, to be validated in consultation. The app does not establish any diagnosis.
Keep your patients motivated
Inspired by Duolingo, the app gamifies therapy to maximize adherence between sessions. Your patients come back on their own.
- Day streaks: patients don't want to break their streak
- Daily goal: a customizable progress ring
- Encouraging feedback: confetti and celebrations on every win

Clément
Founder · Former person who cluttered
"For years, people told me to 'speak more slowly'. But no one showed me how."
My name is Clément, and I've lived with cluttering since childhood. Ideas racing faster than my words. Sentences crashing into each other. The look on people's faces when they don't understand.
In 2022, I finally saw a wonderful speech-language pathologist. She taught me the techniques. But between sessions, I was on my own. No tool to practice with. No visual cue. Just a stopwatch and my frustration.
So I built the tool I wish I'd had.
Talk Slower was born from my late nights coding, my dozens of practice sessions, and one belief: if it helps me, it can help others.
A clear mission, a hands-on founder
